I completed my PhD in German Philology at the University of Barcelona and further advanced my academic and scientific career at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Ludwigsburg, the Universität zu Köln, and the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. My research focuses on modern and contemporary German-language literature from an intercultural, postcolonial, and gender perspective. I currently hold a Chair in German Philology in the Department of English and German Philology at the University of Santiago de Compostela.

I have participated in numerous international forums related to my field and have been an invited researcher at prestigious conferences and academic events. Notable examples include the BASF Lectures at the Center for Anglo-German Cultural Relations at Queen Mary University of London, seminars organized by the School of Advanced Studies at the University of London, and the Third Biennial Duke German-Jewish Studies Workshop at Duke University, in collaboration with Trinity College for Arts and Sciences and the Center of Jewish Studies at Durham. Additionally, I have been a guest speaker at conferences sponsored by the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, the DAAD at the University of Hildesheim, the Heinrich Böll Foundation at Technische Universität Dresden, and the Thyssen and Guggenheim foundations at the Anna Amalia und Goethe Akademie in Weimar.

I have been awarded a DAAD grant through its mobility programs for senior researchers, as well as funding from the Ministry of Universities’ program for faculty and researchers’ stays at foreign institutions, and the Salvador de Madariaga program. Additionally, I have been a fellow of the Miller Fellowships in Exile Studies program at the Institute of Languages, Cultures, and Societies at the University of London.

I have extensive experience in leading, managing, and evaluating research projects, as well as supervising doctoral programs and coordinating academic exchange programs, including Erasmus+, Seneca, and other bilateral agreements. Additionally, I have broad experience in evaluating, advising, and writing scientific-technical reports for national and regional agencies, academic exchange services, and prestigious journals indexed in reference repositories.

My international collaborations and mobility experiences in Europe, Central Asia, Latin America, South Africa, and the Middle East have been essential in consolidating my scientific and academic background, while also enriching my understanding of the world by introducing me to new paradigms of knowledge.
